My Life Long Goals

Some of these goals may seem big, but how will you know if you never try?
I've always been a big dreamer, but I'm also terrified to fail. I tend to keep the big goals to myself and my closest people, but instead I'm going to share them with the world. Why you may ask? At this point, I'm not sure. Maybe it'll hold me accountable, maybe it will inspire some of you, or maybe I'll get scared and delete this post later on. Who knows lol, but that's what this page is for.
GOAL #1:
See The New 7 Wonders of the world
- Great Wall of china
- Christ the Redeemer
- The Colosseum
- Machu Picchu
- Taj Mahal
- Petra
- Chichen Itza

I was able to check Chichen Itza off my list back in 2017.
Seeing this made me feel a way I couldn't explain and was what made seeing The Wonders of The World my biggest travel goal. The fact that man way before our time created these beautiful pieces of art just amazes me and I want to experience that feeling with all of them. This one is going to take some time, but I will make it happen.

GOAL #2:
Travel to the least visited country in the world, Tuvalu.
A couple years back I became obsessed with a YouTube channel called YesTheory. Ever since then I've been committed to saying yes and doing things out of my comfort zone. It could be the smallest thing to the largest, I will usually talk myself into saying yes. By doing new things, you never know where life could take you. I have met new people and had incredible experiences by saying yes.
Tuvalu stuck out to me because the people living there are experiencing a whole other world different from ours. The island is about 26 km with just under 10,000 residents. They have no ATMs, very low access to internet, flights only every couple of days, one hotel, and they use their airports landing strip to play ball games. Most of us couldn't even imagine living this simple of a life. I don't know how long I could do it, but the thought of experiencing it for a little bit excites me.
GOAL #3:
Volunteer in a third world country.
This is one that I feel could really change me. I'll fully admit, I've grown up a pretty sheltered person. I haven't had many bad things happen to me or been put in many tough situations. I have parents that are still together, support, friends, no deaths I remember, a roof over my head, food whenever I want, not much to complain about. I've realized that this makes it almost hard for me to empathize with others when they are going through tough times. I am so caught up in my little world where I never have to worry that I don't even think about what others are going through. This is why I think throwing myself into a bit of culture shock would help me empathize and see how people all around the world are surviving every day. Not only do I think this goal could help me, but it could also help others that aren't as fortunate. I am so lucky to live the life I do and I want to share that with others that may not ever get to experience a world like mine. I know there is some backlash that comes with volunteers in low-income areas, but I feel if I'm with the right organization, there can be so many benefits that come from the experience.
I haven't been able to find the perfect organization to go with yet, so if you have any ideas please comment below or message them to me.
Clearly, travel is the main focus of my goals, but that's because I feel you can learn so much from leaving your comfort zone. Visiting any other city, state, or country can pull you away from the comfort of home and make you pass boundaries you may never have. You learn the most about yourself when you are in the most uncomfortable situations. From the bit of traveling I have done, I have grown so much as a person and have realized there's more world than just mine.
